Comrags

Reliable sources have told me that it's cold at home and I ought to come armed with waterproof woollens and wellies. This gives me complete license to blog about the F/W collection from Comrags a little bit earlier than I would normally. I know I'm not really known for colour, but I feel like this autumn, I'm especially in the mood for lots of dark layers.

  1. Naturally, this does give you complete license. I particularly love the second dress.

    1. If you ever come to Toronto, we must go there. I always see something I think "Alice!" about.

  2. I, too, ove the layering ... but all that black is so sad! Besides layering, what I love most about dressing in the autumn is jewel tones. Like stained glass on an overcast day.

    1. Oh! I never find black sad, but I'm usually wearing black and grey, head-to-toe, even in summer.

    2. But I do love jewel tones (especially emerald and ultramarine) too!

    3. Emerald and ultramarine! I agree heartily! I imagine both look fantastic on you -- you're fair but dark-haired, yes? Lately, I've been particularly keen on the emerald/peacock combination, too.

I think navy is my black. I just can't get away with the blackness of black (at least, I don't believe I can) against my very, very fair skin. Somehow, navy works. How do you handle black in the summertime, particularly against your fair skin? Do you ever feel washed out? (I'm sure you look terrific, I'm just wondering if you have to do anything to make the black feel less ... black.)

      Finally, enjoy your holiday! :-)

    4. I love navy too... but always have a hard time coordinating it compared to black. Black can be harsh when I'm tired... I'm sure I look terrible a lot of the time - yes I'm very pale! But it's also like my armour so I really like the tough outer shell I feel when I'm wearing black.

My hair is naturally brown, but I have blonde highlights right now. I'm pretty fickle with hair colour!

      Thanks Helen!

  3. Love it! There's plenty that I would be happy to wear... ah, fall!
